Car-free vacations for you and the environment's sake

International express trains stop in Schladming an Stainach / Irdning. Stations for regional trains can be found in Pichl, Haus im Ennstal, Aich, Pruggern, Gröbming, Stein an der Enns, Öblarn  and Niederöblarn. 

Travel in comfort, hop on and relax

As many accommodations in the Schladming-Dachstein region offer a pick-up service from the train station and the ski and hiking bus network has been greatly expanded, nothing stands in the way of a car-free stay.

In the beautiful Enns Valley, the region stretches between the villages Mandling and Wörschach and has connections to international express trains at Schladming and Stainach/Irdning train stations.

Other train stations are located in Pichl, Haus im Ennstal, Aich, Pruggern, Gröbming, Stein an der Enns, Öblarn, Niederöblarn and Wörschach - here the regional train runs several times a day.

Arrival by ÖBB

ÖBB Eurocity and Intercity trains run through the Enns Valley every two hours. There are direct connections from Graz, Innsbruck and Salzburg. From Vienna there is a 2-hourly service to Schladming with a change in Leoben in just under 4 hours. There are direct EC/IC trains from Graz or Salzburg every 2 hours and travelers from Linz are best advised to change trains in Selzthal to Schladming.

Arrival by Deutsche Bahn
The trains operated by Deutsche Bahn provide transportation to Schladming-Dachstein from practically all areas of Germany. For example, travelers from northern Germany, Berlin or the Rhein-Ruhr region can ride high-speed ICE trains to Munich, then take advantage of daily EuroCity direct connections to Schladming.

from the South:

  • Freeway A2 Süd - A10 Tauernautobahn - B320 Ennstal main Road

Due to extensive renovations of the Ofenauer and Hiefler tunnels as well as the Werfen tunnel chain, there will be obstructions on the A 10 Tauernautobahn in Salzburg between September 10, 2024 and the end of June 2025. Please note this before your journey and inform yourself in time via real-time information from ASFINAG.
