Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing
Stübing bei Graz
Austria's largest open-air museum near Graz invites you to take a stroll through the variety of historical domestic landscapes from all of Austria's federal states. Stübing is one of the 10 largest open-air museums in Europe. On a journey through 6 centuries, you will not only encounter the different types of farm and house from Burgenland to Vorarlberg, but also mills, forges, a sawmill and much more. The armoury, the historic grocery store and the old school evoke special memories and comparisons with today. Over 100 historic buildings invite you to discover exciting stories about sustainable living, housing and everyday life in the countryside. The smell of fresh bread in the oven, craft demonstrations and work in the fields and meadows create a lively picture. An inn invites you to take a break. Customs, festivals and the varied educational programme offer a colourful annual programme for an eventful encounter with the world of our ancestors.
