The tour

For this ski tour you should already have real practice. Via the summer trails no. 23 and no. 22 you go up to the Kochofen. Leave the turnoff to Loskögerl on the right and continue to follow the trail to Riestörl (1,650 m) to the east. While you lose quite a bit of altitude during the last meters to the Riestörl, there is often a trail steeply uphill to the right that also leads to the summit - otherwise you can follow the summer markings without hesitation, which are also supplemented by some ski markings. The last 100 meters of altitude over the steep north-east ridge require careful tracking until you reach the summit cross.

Turn-by-turn directions

For experienced ski tourers and only at your own risk, continue from the Michaelerberghaus via summer trails 23 and 22 to the Kochofen. Leave the turn-off to Loskögerl on the right and continue to follow the trail to Riestörl (1650m) to the east. While the last few metres to the Riestörl again lose some metres, there is often a trail steeply uphill to the right that also leads to the summit - otherwise you can follow the summer markings without hesitation, which are also supplemented by some new ski markings.

The last 100 hm over the steep NE ridge require careful tracking until you reach the mostly wind-blown summit cross.
