Water experience Öblarn
Experience-help-learn
The unique natural hazard simulation model "Öblarn Water Experience" offers educational tours that combine awareness-raising with fun and games.
A hydrological model faithfully reproduces the catchment area of the Walchenbach, the village of Öblarn and the retention areas on the Enns. In addition to information on the topic of natural hazard management, simulations of mudflows, floods and inundations can be actively shaped by model visitors of all ages. In this way, answers can be found as to how and through which natural and/or technical measures the negative effects of flood events (such as in the center of Öblarn in 2017) can be avoided.
In addition, the shared ride in the covered wagon, which can hold up to 45 people, offers a special experience.
