Between driving rhythms and nostalgic melodies, the duo Vievo celebrates music from Brazil, France and beyond and gives it its own personal coloring. In an intimate and minimalist line-up, singer Johannes Holzinger (The Voice of Germany, among others) and guitarist Ben Enzon create soundscapes that invite you to dance and dream in equal measure. It was their shared love of South American music that led them to create the duo Vievo, which follows in the footsteps of artists such as Caetano Veloso, Baden Powell, Barbara and Charles Aznavour. Half Filipino, half Styrian, Holzinger was born with an interest in other cultures and is currently studying singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Ben Enzon, finalist of the European Guitar Award, likes to cross genre boundaries and combines influences from Latin American music, classical music and jazz in his musical work.
