Castle of Großsölk
Naturpark Sölktäler
The medieval Großsölk Castle is used by the Sölktäler Nature Park for museum purposes.
Six rooms in the castle house a permanent exhibition on the nature and history of the nature park. Walk in the ancient footsteps of the muleteers and learn about the eventful history of the castle.

Permanent exhibition "The Gold of the Alpine Pastures"
The "Ennstaler Steirerkas" is a typical regional rural product with a long tradition and history.
In the inner courtyard of the castle, herbs and plant rarities can be admired in the Jesuit garden. This is accessible at all times, even outside the castle's opening hours.

The castle café is always open on Saturdays and on Sundays according to the opening hours of the castle.
On September 21, 2024, the "Kasfest" will take place in the courtyard of Großsölk Castle. In addition to the "Ennstaler Steirerkas" from the Sölker Almen, there will also be a wide variety of cheeses from near and far to purchase. And of course, what goes best with a tasty cheese tasting? - A glass of Austrian wine, of course! In keeping with the autumnal season, a sip of "Sturm" can also be enjoyed. In addition to cheese, however, regional sausage and meat products as well as handicrafts are also for sale. The museum may of course be visited free of charge.
