Landscape museum
Trautenfels Castle is enthroned on a rocky spur at the foot of the Grimming. First mentioned in 1261, the building was remodelled in the Baroque style by Count Siegmund Friedrich von Trauttmannsdorff in the 17th century. Since 1992, modern architectural elements have been surprising visitors amidst the historic building fabric. The cultural and natural history of the Styrian Enns Valley and Ausseerland is presented in 13 kaleidoscope-like rooms.
