315 RecensiesSchladming
The Riesach waterfall is the largest waterfall in Styria. The "Alpinsteig through the Höll" leads over numerous stairs, paths and a suspension bridge along the Riesach waterfall to the Gfölleralm and the Riesach lake. This climb requires surefootedness and a head for heights and is not suitable for toddlers and dogs from the suspension bridge - you can still get to the beautiful Riesachsee via the forest road (junction in front of the suspension bridge).
Note:
Spending the night at the parking spot is prohibited.
Outside the toll opening times, you will receive a note on your car about the possibility of additional payment.

The Riesach waterfall is the largest waterfall in Styria. From the Riesach car park in Untertal, the "Alpinsteig durch die Höll" leads over numerous steps, trails and a suspension bridge along the Riesach waterfall to the Gfölleralm at Riesachsee. This trail requires surefootedness and a head for heights and is not suitable for small children and dogs from the suspension bridge onwards - you can still reach the beautiful Riesachsee lake via the forest road (turn-off before the suspension bridge).
The "Alpinsteig durch die Höll" is part of the "Wild Waters" theme trail that starts in Schladming. It leads via the wild and romantic Talbachklamm gorge into the Untertal valley.
