Mühlen Advent in Ramsau am Dachstein

For many it is still an insider tip, for others already an annual tradition.

The starting point is the restored Old Mill in Rössing. From there, you walk along the stylishly decorated and illuminated Hofrat-Gruber-Weg and the idyllic Philosophenweg, to the Waldschenke in Ramsau Ort.
The new signage tells you the story of the Ramsau water mills of then & now. Traditional customs, atmospheric sounds and traditional crafts follow.

Let yourself be spoiled with lovely delicacies, as well as the menu of the rustic and cozy Waldschenke

Horse sleigh ride

Snuggled up warmly in a blanket, with blowing mane and snorting nostrils, you can let the horse-drawn sleighs take you.

Waldschenke

Whether as a starting point or conclusion of the hike, the physical well-being is provided in the Waldschenke from 11:30 am. The Christmas crib and a great supporting program await you.

Old Mill Rössing

From 3 pm the "Old Mill" opens its doors and welcomes you with homemade hot drinks, Zibebenbrot and various spreads.
The flour for this comes from our own cultivation and was ground in the summer from the millstones of the Old Mill.

Weber Miazl Häusl

After the hike from the Old Mill along the Hofrat-Gruber-Weg, refreshments are waiting for you at the Weber Miazl Häusl.

Catholic Church

The traditional tower brass band of the Trachtenmusikkapelle Ramsau will get you in the mood for the Christmas season starting at 5 pm.
Hot drinks, nibbles and Christmas cordiality await you at the Catholic Church in Kulm.

Altes Wagner Häusl at the Schmiede

Continue to the old Wagner Häusl near the forge. In the workshop of Wagner Hermann, the paintings of Ramsau artist Günther "Gundi" Simonlehner are on display. The new edition of the book "Herdgeschichten" can be browsed and purchased here.
Various traditional doughnuts from the Ramsau farm women, the alpine coffee from "Dachstein Kaffee" and various drinks will spoil you on cold winter days

Adventstüberl at the Philosophenweg

Exhibition of the lovingly crafted Christmas decorations and Christmas stories written by the children of the elementary school Ramsau. A stop pays off.

Evangelical Church

At 7 pm on 06.12. and 13.12. the Feierabend service in Advent takes place in the Protestant church Ramsau. All walkers of the Mühlen Advent are cordially invited to participate.
