Guided mountain hike on Thursday

Guided hike on Thursday with the Alpincenter Ramsau

Every Thursday, guided hikes are offered with the certified mountain hiking guides of the Alpincenter Ramsau. Many tours are insider tips that you might not discover on your own. Be there and discover great hikes in the Schladming-Dachstein Region!

In the following info the weekly program is listed, when which hikes take place.

As a Schladming-Dachstein Sommercard holder, you can take part in the guided hikes free of charge - without a Sommercard, the guided tour costs € 20.00. In addition, any bus, cable car, cab or additional entrance fees are to be paid by the participants themselves, unless they are included in the Sommercard.

The minimum number of participants for all hikes is 3 people. The best way to find out whether a tour is suitable for children is to contact the Alpine Center directly.

Even if it is a guided hike, it is always your own responsibility whether a tour is suitable for you or not. If you have any personal concerns before or during a guided hike, please mention them to the guide.

26.09 3-lake tour: Bodensee-Hüttensee-Obersee

We now continue along the shore into the valley. We climb the steep steps to the Hans-Wödl-Hütte via the hiking trail while enjoying the view of Lake Constance. From the hut, it is only a few minutes to the Hüttensee - the second lake on our tour. Again, we walk along the shore past the lake and hike over a final ascent to the Obersee, where we take a short break. We return via the same route.

3.10 Neualm to Duisitzkarsee lake

Meeting point: 08:20 am Hochwurzen valley station
HM: 865 m ascent, 860 m descent, 12.2 km
Walking time: 5 - 6 hours
Requirements: Sure-footedness, stamina, good physical condition

Route description: From the Eschachalm we hike to the Neualm (unmanaged) and from there on to the Keinprechthütte in the Neualmkar. The mountain panorama around the hut is impressive. Mining was carried out intensively here for centuries, as evidenced by the numerous spoil heaps that can still be seen today. We then return to the Neualm, where we follow the narrow path to the Duisitzkarsee lake. The dark green glistening lake makes this spot uniquely beautiful. After a rest at the Duisitzkarseehütte or Fahrlechhütte, we descend to the Eschachalm.

Route description: Ascent with the cable car to the Hunerkogel. From the mountain station of the Dachstein glacier cable car we hike for approx. 1 hour over the Hallstätter glacier to the Seethaler hut. The path over the glacier is prepared with a snow groomer. After a break, we walk back to the top station of the gondola lift and float back down to the valley station.

17.10 Under the Dachstein south face through the gate

Meeting point: 09:15 am valley station Gletscherbahn
HM: 968 m ascent, 968 m descent, 13.25 km
Walking time: 6 - 7 hours
Refreshment stops: Südwandhütte, Pernerhütte
Requirements: Sure-footedness, stamina, good physical condition
Equipment: possibly hiking poles, ankle-high shoes, sufficient drinks and snacks, rucksack, rain protection

Route description: From the valley station of the Dachstein Südwandbahn cable car, we hike to the Südwandhütte hut and from there continue under the Dachstein south face to the “Tor”, the cut between Raucheck and Torstein. We then continue downhill towards the Bachlalm. Just before we reach it, however, we branch off to the left and continue towards the Neustattalm and on to the Glösalm, from where we hike back to the valley station. You will almost always see chamois and marmots on this hike. It is also important to take enough drinks with you, as there are rarely springs and streams in the limestone of the Dachstein mountains to replenish your water supplies.
