Tobogganing via the Ramsau ski trail
łatwe Toboggan · Ramsau am Dachstein
Downhill on two runners. One of the most beautiful winter fun for children as well as adults who enjoy it. During the day, sledding is possible from the Ramsauer Almengebiet region down to the valley on the ski path.
The ski trail usually is prepared from mid-December and is available to skiers and walkers away from the roads. Starting from the Gasthof Edelbrunn you walk along a prepared winter hiking trail to the starting point of the toboggan run (approx. 1 1/2 to 2 hours). It is less strenuous to leave the car in Ramsau-Ort and take the bus towards the Dachstein cable car - stop at Hotel Dachstein or Türlwandhütte.
Toboggan rental on site at the Hunerkogel inn and on the way at the Brandalm.
You start your tobogganing adventure in the bend above the Hotel Dachstein or below the Gasthof Hunerkogel. You toboggan down the prepared ski trail towards the Ramsauer Plateau. On the way you can stop at the Brandalm or the Dachsteinhaus and Gasthof Edelbrunn and Knollhof are also not far from your route. Attention: Below the Gasthof Edelbrunn, at the Lindenhof and next to the Ramsauer elementary school you have to cross the street once. Finally you arrive directly at the Ramsau Zentrum at the cross-country skiing stadium.
From the west: Tauernautobahn A 10 to the Ennstal junction - exit towards Graz/Schladming - around 20 km on the Ennstal federal road to Schladming - Ramsau junction.
From the north/east: Pyhrnautobahn towards Liezen Ennstalbundesstraße to Schladming - Ramsau turn-off.
Via the Ramsauer Landesstraße to the Ramsauer Plateau and to Ramsau Ort - parking spaces at the Ramsau center. From Ramsau Ort by bus or on foot to the starting point.
Alternatively, continue to the junction of the Dachstein toll road. Via the toll road to the starting point.
