"Bold - Versatile - Alpine"

Three women from different regions of Austria meet as teachers at the "Woodstock Academy". They sing, play music, laugh, and talk with each other – and sparks fly, just like in a relationship: they share the same feelings and are one with what they do.

"Damenwahl" consists of:

Katrin Unterlercher: Harp, Hammered Dulcimer, Vocals, Composition
(Studied Harp at the Tyrolean State Conservatory/ Former harpist of Pixner Projekt/ Ensemble Katrin and Werner Unterlercher/ Teacher at various folk music seminars)

Christina Fischbacher: Double Bass, Guitar, Piano, Vocals
(Studied Music Education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna/ Music and Sports Teacher at Borg St. Johann/ Speaker at various folk music seminars, including the Salzburg Folk Culture Week, Woodstock Academy.../ Musician in various groups such as Pongauer Sonntagsmusi, Blusenknepf, etc./ Performing Shepherdess at the Salzburg Advent Singing with Charly Rabanser)

Renate Linortner: Flutes, Vocals, Composition
(Studied Flute in Concert Performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna/ Flutist at the Volksoper Vienna/ Senior Lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna/ Founder of the ensembles Classicalpin, Duo Austria-Latin, Chamber Ensemble of the Volksoper Vienna, etc./ Teacher at numerous masterclasses and workshops in Austria and abroad)

The musical roots of all three musicians are deeply grounded in Austrian folk music. With completed instrumental studies and despite different musical paths, their shared focus is directed outward and forward.

Their original compositions reflect emotions they have experienced through the many highs and lows of life. Honest, raw tones are drawn from their instruments and voices.

This rising ensemble, made up of three incredibly charming women, alternates between vocal and instrumental pieces (harp, flute, hammered dulcimer, double bass, piano...) and is a feminine testament to versatility and flexibility!
