Requirements and General Information
During the tour around the Dachstein you are mostly in high alpine terrain. Appropriate trail running equipment and endurance are therefore a prerequisite.
Temperatures can drop even in midsummer, so make sure you have enough warm clothing, including gloves and a hat, with you. Please think of a second long sleeve in case there are waiting times in the accommodation for your piece of luggage.
Your route will be immortalized by your entry in every hut book in the Dachstein mountains. The paths are well signposted, but the markings may be hidden due to the remaining snow. It is therefore essential that you carry the routing map material with you. Accompaniment by an experienced guide on request! Please note that the tour is weather dependent! Alternative trail, use of cable cars and train or bus (payable locally) is always possible.
The necessary equipment includes:
- Trail running shoes

- hood or cap, gloves
