The summer theater festival with a difference!

Theaters arrive, set up, prepare a performance, set impulses and then disappear again. What remains...

...the discovery of longing.

An apt description of the theater days. Like a municipal theater, we give people the opportunity to buy a subscription and go to the theater regularly. The program is also like that of a municipal theater. We show contemporary adaptations of classics as well as world premieres, comedies and plays for the whole family. This mix is what makes it so special and enables us to achieve almost 100% capacity utilization.
Shakespeare, Sophocles, Jelinek ... well-known names at THEATERTAGE WEISSENBACH 2024, which will also include comedies and contemporary plays. We also invite all children and families to join the Mezzanin Theater on a journey into childhood that begins in the past and ends up in the present, because “back then” many things were different - weren't they?

The festival lasts 2 weeks and there are 9 different projects to see. A mix of the performing arts genres mentioned at the beginning. After its beginnings in a black theater tent, the festival has long since found a permanent and weather-independent venue in the Wirtschaftshalle am Gsöllhof.
