Sir OLIVER MALLY & PETER SCHNEIDER - Folk Blues Adventures
[ku:L] Kunst- & Kulturhaus Öblarn
Two acoustic guitars, a harmonica and the voice of Oliver Mally is all the two blues experts need to captivate and inspire their audience. Sometimes it gets so quiet that you can hear a pin drop and then again Mally & Schneider rage on their acoustic six-string blues machines that the audience is almost swept off their feet.
Mally is a brilliant storyteller who transports the listener into his wild blues world in his songs with a warm, sonorous voice and cleverly accompanies himself on the guitar.
What Peter Schneider casually plucks from the guitar strings is a special treat. Regardless of whether he contributes just a few almost shy, minimalist flourishes to Mally's songs, lets whole arias full of finely tuned glissandi ring out via bottleneck or flashes of furious finger dexterity: The Munich guitarist's class, which he acquired in the bands of Ike Turner, Willy Michl, Westernhagen, Söllner and his band The Stimulators, can be heard in every note.
“ 'Folk Blues Adventures' tickles the nerves, stimulates, turns the unpredictable into a relaxed joy
and the uncertainty transforms into certainty at least when the last notes have faded away.
Hats off!” ROCKTIMES (D)
“When two like-minded classical musicians meet and play together
the result is perhaps unique.” ROOTSTIME (BEL)
