Matinees of history

The 38th Austrian International Storytelling Festival celebrates the diversity of modern storytelling with international artists and fascinating performances such as storytelling, poetry slam, puppet and shadow theater, dance and music.

Under the motto #herostories, the focus this year is on inspiring heroine stories that show that anyone can be a hero. The festival initiated by Folke Tegetthoff invites young and old to stories from all over the world from June 12 to 14 in Stainach-Pürgg:

• On 12.06.2025: A morning full of fantasy for schoolchildren with the “Matinee of Stories”
• On 13.06.2025: “Of princesses, herbs & destinies” - Folke Tegetthoff's exclusive best-of program for adults
• On 14.06.2025: The big “Festival of Fantasy” - a fairytale family day with 3 hours of colorful program in and in front of Trautenfels Castle

MATINEE OF STORIES

“A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE” - What could be more important than enabling children and young people to immerse themselves in other worlds? And so artists from all over the world present their stories in very different ways - from classical storytelling to music, figures/puppet theater and acrobatics: there are no limits to the imagination. Let yourself be enchanted for an hour, make wide-eyed amazement and prick up your ears: Only the magic of storytelling can be this beautiful!
