Advent market on the village square in Assach under the motto “Traditions of St. Nicholas and Krampus”
On December 1, 2024, the idyllic village square in Assach will be transformed into an atmospheric winter forest dedicated to the “Customs of St. Nicholas and Krampus”. The Advent market invites you to enjoy the magical pre-Christmas atmosphere from the early afternoon hours with over 25 exhibitors and four stalls for culinary delights.
Hobby artists present their handmade creations with much love and dedication: from creative arts and crafts to lovingly designed decorations and unique gifts - everyone will find something special here. Culinary guests can look forward to warming punch, fragrant mulled wine, crispy chestnuts and regional specialties such as doughnuts, Kletzenbrot and Christmas cookies. The afternoon will be festive with music from 15:00 in the Christuskirche. The pupils, the Aich Singrunde, the flute group from the music school and the brass players from the Aich-Assach band will get you in the mood for the Advent season with traditional Christmas carols and contemplative sounds.
A special highlight is the arrival of St. Nicholas and his Krampus. Unlike usual, their appearance is quiet and calm - a moving moment that brings the tradition of customs to life in an exceptionally sensitive way.
The Advent market on the village square in Assach is an experience for the whole family - a wonderful start to the contemplative time of year.
