Frau Franzi performs Shakespeare's greatest dramas with brooms and rags, vegetables and kitchen utensils. The theater-loving cleaning lady always gets in the way of the world theater while cooking and scrubbing.
Behind Frau Franzi is the art therapist and theater teacher Marika Reichhold. The innkeeper's daughter from Lower Austria has an unusual life story and, together with director and object theater specialist Christian Suchy, developed an artificial character, “Frau Franzi” - a homage to a dying female figure. With a headscarf, apron, motherly wit and no little courage to be ugly, she became Mrs. Franzi, searched for “something timeless” and found the ingenious English playwright, whose plays are always in season in German-speaking countries and quickly enjoyed great success.
