The "Kripperl" of Styria!
On the first two weekends of Advent, the romantic village of Pürgg is transformed into a Christmas "Kripperl". A unique Advent market moves into the houses and enchants its visitors year after year.
At the Pürgg Advent you will not find "stalls" in the conventional sense. The exhibitors present their diverse, traditional crafts in the stables, garages, barns and houses of the picturesque little village.
A wide-ranging supporting program - such as baking and handicrafts with children, tours of the Fahringer landscape nativity scene, musical performances and readings in the parish church, traditional Krampuss games, the Glöcklerlauf, guided tours of St. John's Chapel or a living nativity scene - allows Pürgg and its visitors to sink into an incomparable idyll and Christmas spirit on the first two weekends of Advent.

Arrival by car
If you are traveling to the Advent market by car, simply turn off the B 145 to Pürgg, where the fire department will provide directions. There are only limited parking spaces available in the village itself; if these are full, you can park further along the old main road from Untergrimming to Lessern. To keep waiting times as short as possible, a shuttle bus runs up to Pürgg from eight stops approximately every 15 minutes. The last departure of the shuttle bus in Pürgg is at 7.30 pm.
- A small fee of € 5.00 per car is payable for parking in Pürgg.
- The shuttle bus costs € 3.00 per person (children travel free).

If you choose the comfortable journey and are on a coach, here is some information for your chauffeur. You can also take the bus from the B 145 to Pürgg. Our fire department will be waiting for you. They will then assign your driver a parking space and arrange the departure time with you so that you don't have to wait too long for your bus on the way home. The bus then drives back down towards the old main road and is assigned a parking space there. The fire department driver will take the Chaffeuer to and from the bus.
- A fee of € 20.00 is charged per bus, regardless of the number of passengers.
