Sleigh ride to Obertal valley

Beautiful tour with the horse-drawn sleigh into Obertal valley. If you want to make a stop for refreshments, there are rustic alpine chalets along the way that invite you to enjoy a warm drink out on their sun terraces or next to a warm, cozy tiled stove. Rides with the horse-drawn sleigh have to be booked in advance. The following providers offer tours in Rohrmoos and to Obertal valley:

There is a minimum fee per sleigh. Additionally the prices depend on the length of the tour agreed upon with the respective provider. Kids up to 10 years get a 50 % reduction. If the ride ends after 7 pm there is a night shift premium! Rustic alpine chalets along the way invite you to enjoy a refreshment stop – out on their sun terraces or next to a warm, cozy tiled stove, sipping on a mug of hot chocolate or spiced wine.

Travelling by horse-drawn sleigh takes you away from the ski slopes through Rohrmoos’ snow-covered valleys. From the village of Rohrmos the ride takes you into Obertal valley past beautiful farm houses. Passing by Windbacherstube inn along the way the ride takes you as far as Hoflehen bridge on beautiful sleigh trails. From there a short section out of the valley along the road, before you join the route you came at Windbacherstube again. Remark: of course the route always depends on the weather conditions and firmness of underground!
With the Planai buses from Schladming (Planet-Planai, Lendplatz) to the village of Rohrmoos - bus stop "Rohrmoos-Zentrum".
