Alpine loop to the idyllic Moaralmsee
gemiddeld Hiking · Haus-Aich-Gössenberg
The great difference in altitude can be comfortably overcome with the Schladminger Tauern cable car or Hauser Kaibling cable car & 8-seater chair lift Kaiblinggrat. The half-hour ascent to the summit of Hauser Kaibling (2,015 m) is full of views, the summit panorama is magnificent. The descent to the Rossfeldsattel requires some attention due to the Wurzelsteig. The same goes for the short, rugged passage on trail no. 45 to the Moaralmsee. This lake lies like a turquoise-green jewel in the middle of a magnificent high mountain scenery. Soft, green moss cushions contrast with the towering pyramid of the Höchstein - and during the Alpine rose blossom the contrast between the turquoise-green water and the red of the Alpine roses is particularly obvious. Take the same path at the foot of the Bärfallspitze back to the Rossfeldsattel, then over the Kaiblingalm and on the wide alpine path back to the mountain station.
Variant 2: If you prefer a "sporty" way back, ascend from the Moaralmsee on a narrow path to the Seescharte (no. 45) and then take the descent no. 780 to the Kaiblingalm.
Variant 3: starting from the Moaralmsee, trail no. 781 (beautiful alpine path) leads to the Oberen Moaralm and further down into the Gumpental (forest road). The hosts of the Stangl Alm spoil tired hikers with all kinds of delicacies. From there, the hiking cab will gladly take you back to the valley station of the cable car. Daily at 14.15 and 16.30 o'clock against advance reservation under phone +43 664 200 44 44!
