Seitinger & Maierhofer

Seitinger & Maierhofer combine social observations, humorous and melancholic tones in their music to create touching stories. 
Their songs in Upper Styrian dialect combine elements of jazz, folk music and pop. 
The second album ‘Hauptsoch die Leut habn was zum Redn’ (release: 25 April 2025) reflects the contrasting world of the Styrian Mürztal - from industrial facets to nature and quirky everyday moments. 
The duo also shows its emotional depth in songs such as ‘Nebn deiner Woikn’ and ‘I bin's leid’ as well as in modern interpretations of traditional folk songs. 
Supported by experienced musicians, with guitar, double bass, drums and Styrian harmonica forming the foundation, the unique voices of Johanna Seitinger and Lukas Maierhofer take centre stage in an evening that celebrates modern Austrian music.
