The tour

The high alpine ski tour to the Scheichenspitze first leads up towards the Lärchbodenalm, then over the Tiefkar to the Guttenberghaus and from there towards the Gruberscharte - continuing through the Landfriedstal and finally over the northern ridge up to the summit. From the summit of the Scheichenspitze, head back down the partly secured ridge into the Landfriedstal valley, from where a short ascent towards Edelgrieß begins. The descent then goes down through the Edelgrieß and ends at the SkiWilly/Rittislift bus stop.

Note:

If the avalanche risk is too high on the south side of the Eselstein, you can optionally do the tour behind the Guttenberghaus to the Feisterscharte and then into the Landfriedstal. Please note that this ski tour is only suitable for advanced climbers and professionals!

Turn-by-turn directions

From the starting point via the Lärchbodenalm to the Guttenberghaus, which is not open in winter. From there, continue via the Gruberscharte into the Landfriedtal and from the north to the summit of the Scheichenspitze: the ascent to the summit is done without skis and with crampons. Descend via Edelgrießhöhe and from there along numerous downhill options or back to Gruberscharte and along the ascent route.

Getting there

From Ennstal Str./B320 head east towards Ramsauerstraße, turn left onto Ramsauerstraße, turn left to stay on Ramsauerstraße. Continue on the L711 to the Stiererkreuzung, then continue on the Rössingstraße to the Feistererhof junction, then park at the Lärchbodenalm/Guttenberghaus car park.

From Schladming train station take the RVB bus towards Ramsau. Get off at the stop "Stierer" (Stiererkreuzung). From there, either take the tour skis directly towards Feistererhof, or take a taxi towards Feistererhof (starting point).
