Kammspitze – Miesbodensee – Viehbergalm – Öfen

The path leads north of the peak down some secured steep steps, past Kammalm and continuing down until reaching the idyllic Miesbodensee (no. 28).
After arriving there, you can comfortably continue to Viehbergalm with serviced cabins (during the summer). The descent (no. 28) through Eckangerl and the “Wurf” (coll.) to the Rahnstube will take approx. 3/4 of an hour. Afterwards, follow the forest path south through the Öfen gorge until reaching your destination - the Kneipp facility.

Kneipp facility: B320, take the Gröbming OST (EAST) or WEST (WEST) exit and, at the town centre, continue on Stoderstraße towards Winkl until reaching the Kneipp facility

A balaclava, gloves, a good jacket and pair of pants are standard equipment for routes in Alpine terrain. Good water-resistant shoes, sunglasses, solar protection and sufficient drinks are essential. This also includes torches, mapping material, a knife, and a small first aid kit.
