“Da Blechhauf'n” - The NEW program

“Da Blechhauf'n” - Austrian for ‘Der Blechhaufen’, abbreviated to ‘BH’ - is a brass band from Austria. The seven members - “four from Burgenland, two from Styria and one vegan” - all play brilliantly and are academically certified musicians. Three trumpets, three trombones, a helicon and the occasional accordion form an ensemble that shies away from nothing.
Originally, the musicians indulged their passion for folk music in a new guise with “Da Blechhauf'n”. In the meantime, however, the concept has become a success story with a highly professional appearance, whereby the programs of “Da Blechhauf'n” vary greatly in terms of subject matter and performance technique. In addition to virtuoso instrumental pieces, “da Blechhauf'n” also performs works with vocals and slapstick interludes. A concert evening is therefore not just a concert, but also a musical cabaret.
As the Süddeutsche Zeitung aptly put it, “Da Blechhauf'n” offers “brass music the way you want it: dynamic, blaring, forceful.”
